My new mantra

I have been trying to focus, etc. Here's what I had tabbed with a post it in my little New Testament"

4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:4-7

Rejoice Always!

Almost 1 year old, his name at the shelter was Guppy, but Dan wants to change it. We'll see what we come up with! He's a little skittish, but purrs alot when you pet him on the blanket.

New Recipe!

This recipe is pretty tasty and really easy to make:

White Bean and Sausage Ragout with Tomatoes, Kale, and Zucchini
(click the words to go to the website it came from-it has a nice picture, too)

Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 (4-ounce) links chicken or turkey sausage, cut into (1/2-inch) slices
1 zucchini, quartered and cut into (1/2-inch) slices (about 2 cups)
3 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
6 cups chopped trimmed kale (about 1/2 pound)
1/2 cup water
(16-ounce) cans cannellini beans or other white beans, rinsed and drained
1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté onion and sausage 4 minutes or until sausage is browned. Add zucchini and garlic; cook 2 minutes. Add kale and remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Serve immediately.

Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 1 3/4 cups)

This is the pattern over the already cut out material...I've already thought of how to make it better. It's being hand sewn in front of the tv :)

Mmmm

I have found your new favorite recipe (I have the recipe linked to the word recipe - click on it!)

My latest idea

I want to make stuffed animals! I saw some really great ones designed by this lady.

But there are patterns too.
Do you think trying to make a stuffed animal will be hard?

Snow - finally

Isn't this fun!?!

So, I thought this would be a new way to communicate more often with each other! I can post comments, photos and links to different websites. Keep checking back for updates!
